Will I need to be home? We need to plug in to a standard 3 pin UK plug power supply. If you have an external power socket, we won’t need you to be home. We just need access all around the property. If you don’t have an outside socket we will need you to be home so you can plug us in.⚡️💡
How often do I need the gutters cleaned? Each property is unique. If you live in an area with lots of trees or your home is shaded by trees, then probably biannually. If you are in the clear open, then it is as much as once in 3-4 years. If you have lots of moss on your roof, it is probable you will need the gutters cleaned more often. We can view the gutter content before cleaning if we attend to quote using our long reach camera system. 🌱🍂
How long will it take to finish? A two storey 3 bedroom property will usually take around 1-1.5 hours. Each property is individual though and very much dependent on access and how much gutter content is present. We will complete the work with as little interruption and disruption to the occupiers as possible.

Will weeds come back? 🌱it is 100% not possible to eradicate weeds permanently, don’t believe anyone offering this service who states you can. regular cleaning will reduce biomaterial and soils and therefore reduce the chances of weeds germinating but they will return. We can spray weeds and are qualified to use professional herbicides. We can pre-treat the weeds 10-14 days in advance. We can also apply residual herbicides to help prevent the return of weeds and re-germination. Still, nothing lasts forever.
How often should i have my paving cleaned? 🧹Each property stands on its own merits. Properties with tree cover, and therefore leaf fall or leaf mulch, will need more frequent clearing. Those with high footfall probably will last longer. The orientation of a property affects environmental factors. North or south facing homes experience different levels of weeds, moss, and lichen growth. Once cleaned, we can offer an annual clean. This could be a different treatment, like soft washing, to ensure the longevity of the original clean.
Do i need to be present? No, as long as we have full access and a water supply we are self sufficient.
Do you need an outside water supply? 🚰 We can not transport the volume of water we require to the site. We will need a plentiful supply of clean tap water to fill our buffer tanks. Our machine then draws from these tanks. If you are on a metered supply, rest assured. Your meter bill will not hugely fluctuate because of our use. Affinity Water estimates 10 litres of water costs roughly just 1 pence. So 1000 litres will cost roughly just £1. Makes you wonder why a small bottle of drinking water costs sometime more than a pound.
How much does it cost? 💷 We have a minimum charge of £150. We will provide you with a fixed quote after we visit and measure the size of the area. We will offer this in a square meter value or as a fixed price quote.
